Terms of service
Last updated · May 2026
These terms apply to your use of Glenvault. They're intentionally short and will be expanded as the service grows. The plain-English bits at the top are binding; we'll add more detail before lifting the free plan's caps.
What Glenvault is
Glenvault stores documents, account references, and family information on your behalf and lets you choose who can access them and when. It is a record-keeping tool. It is not a law firm, financial adviser, will-writing service, or estate administrator.
Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your password and your recovery code safe. If both are lost, your data is unrecoverable.
- You must be 18 or older.
- One free account per person.
Acceptable use
You agree not to upload material that is illegal where you live, that you don't have the right to store, or that is designed to harm the service or other users.
Pricing and cancellation
- Free plan is free as long as you stay within its limits.
- Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- VAT and sales tax are added at checkout based on your billing address.
- If you cancel, you can keep using paid features until the period ends, then your account drops to the free tier.
Disclaimer of warranty and liability cap
Glenvault is provided "as is". We work hard on availability and durability but cannot guarantee zero downtime or zero data loss. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.
Changes to these terms
If we change the terms in a way that affects you, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. You can cancel before then if you don't want to continue.
